XTOP3D Presents 3D DIC Optical Measurement at 5th Coal Industry Young Scientists Forum

Date:2025-03-21

From September 15 to 17, the 372nd China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Young Scientists Forum and the 5th Coal Industry Young Scientists Forum were held at the International Conference Center of Liaoning Technical University. Centered on the theme of "Transformation and Upgrading of Resource-based Industries in Northeast China within the Framework of Sustainable Development," the event facilitated in-depth and extensive exchanges among participating young scientists on topics such as intelligent mining, disaster prevention and control, emergency management, and clean utilization.

This forum attracted a large number of corporate representatives, young experts, and scholars—primarily from fields such as underground and open-pit coal mine design and development, geological exploration, equipment manufacturing, disaster prevention and control, accident rescue, electromechanical control, combustion power generation and coal conversion, energy conservation and environmental protection, ecological restoration, and project and enterprise management. Participants gathered to discuss the transformation and upgrading of the coal industry, exchanging insights on cutting-edge developments, trending topics, and major technical practices across relevant research disciplines and advanced technologies.

XTOP3D was invited to attend the conference, where company representative Cai Zongyuan delivered a presentation titled "Application of Analogous Materials and DIC in Coal Mining." The presentation analyzed the use of 3D optical dynamic and deformation measurement technologies in areas such as coal mining and disaster prevention—specifically covering applications in analogous material excavation, subsidence and deformation measurement, and testing related to material mechanics, fracture mechanics, and impact mechanics—thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the coal industry.
